Lucia celebration in Kobe

Bild
Hey, happy Lucia everyone😄 Today the 13th of December is the so-called Lucia-day. I got to celebrate Lucia last Saturday in Kobe. I was invited by our good friend Seiko who is a member in an organization called JSSK (Japan -Sweden Society Kansai). I also invited my friend Jaehee from Korea to participate and experience some Swedish food and tradition. I was going to participate in the "Lucia tåg" and sing, something I hadn't done since I was 10 years old.  The event was held at Kobe Club, and it was much fancier than I had expected hehe. We started with some rehearsing before the event started and it was time for our performance. It went very well, but I must say, my voice was lower than both the guys and the girls haha. After the music, it was time for some food and it was nothing less than "Julbord"!! I was so happy, I didn't think that I would get a chance to eat that this year, but ack so wrong I was. The food was really good, and Jaehee has ev

Two weeks left - 二週間に帰る

Bild
Hey, So my adventure here in Japan is coming to end ( at least for this time). It´s barely two weeks left here before going back home. It has been really stressful the last couple of weeks, a lot of tests and the finals are coming up next week (which means 6 tests, yaaay..). Life is not easy now haha, just want to go home and celebrate Christmas. However, later today I will meet up with one Japanese girl and her friend and we will go to Ikea and eat (hopefully some Swedish traditional Christmas food). She will be studying next year at my home university in Sweden so hopefully, we can keep in contact😊 I have not much planned this weekend besides studding. On Friday we are having a Christmas movie night in my unit, let's get into Christmas mood! 🎅🎄 Now I have to end this post and start my day with studding before going out on a present hunt in Osaka! またね~ A sushi place that I visited last week Okey sushi, but the best place is still the one that I went to with

My room - 私のへや

Hey 😃 This is going to be a short post. I have a test tomorrow, so I have to get ready for bed early. This post will be about my room (mostly just showing a video of my room), but first, let me update you on what I´ve been up to. It´s only 2,5 weeks left here, which unfortunately is going to be filled with a lot of studying. I have tests and a presentation next week and the week after we have our finals. Ganbarimasu😅 But to write about some more "happy things",  I got invited to a Christmas party that the once who arranged the speaking contest is hosting, the best month of the year has arrived, welcome December🎅🎄 and... Today is also my mum's birthday, Happy B-day mum❤️ I have recently got really homesick because usually there is so much stuff going on back home during this time of year. Especially this time of year I like to spend time with my family.  I welcomed the month by going to Universal Studios with my friend Yui. It was super fun and I was dressed i

Naruto & Boruto Ninja Village and trip to Miyazu

Hey, Then it was finally time for me to get this post done. So to continue where the last post ended, I was right, we went to the coast where we ate crab and one of the famous temples during autumn. The day started with that Kenji and his wife came and pick me up. It took around two hours to get to our destination, but it was fine. We drove through the mountains who were dressed in yellow and red. It was beautiful. However, we had left a clear sky and sunny Hirakata, and arrived at a cloudly and cold Miyazu. Our final destination was Miyazu where we ate crab at an Inn. Let me just say OMG, it was so much food, but it was so good. We ate for two and a half hours (!). I kind of felt bad in the end because I had to leave the last dishes because I couldn't eat more. You will see some pictures below. I also got to take with me a crab home, which I ate the day after 3 After lunch we went to Nariaiji Temple and Mt.Benten. The view from the mountain was amazing. We even got to see a r

Autumn - 秋

Hej, This post will be shorter than the last one and with mostly pictures. It is Wednesday today and I will be picked up at 9 o´clock by some Japanese friends of the family. I don´t know where we are going, but they had made a reservation to eat crab at 11 o´clock so my guess is to go somewhere by the coast because I know some places are famous for their "winter-crab". The fall has also arrived and it´s starting to get chilly outside. Today it´s only going to be 13 C (right now it´s 9 C). But at the plus side (as we say in Swedish), it´s sunny today :3 Last Saturday, as mentioned in my last post, I went to an Otera - temple outside of Kyoto. I had looked up some pictures online, but I actually think I went to the wrong one haha. But anyway, it was beautiful there, and not so many people as I was expecting. The temple was in the countryside and you had to first walk a passage uphill to get there and then you get to walk inside the temple. It was actually a lot of bu

Japanese Speaking Competition - 日本語のスピーキングコンテスト

Bild
Hey Monday😃 This weekend was really awesome. On Saturday I went to the "countryside" near Kyoto, but I´m not going to talk about that in this post. This post will be about what I did on Sunday.... which was to participate in a speaking contest. And I can say, OMG it was scary. So to start from the beginning. We had a meeting a few weeks ago with all the participators (10 finalists). There were only Asian people, mostly Chinese, who could practically speak Japanese fluently😅 and then it was me, studied Japanese one semester at the University haha. But yeah I thought what the heck, it will be a fun experience.  And now I can put on my resume that my first time participating in a speaking contest was where I had to perform a speech in Japanese for 5 minutes😆 The day started with all finalists meeting up at 11 o´clock at the train station before we went to the place where the competition was taking place. The first thing on the schedule was a rehearsal, they showed us
